- The Pirates aren't ready to cut ties with Matt Morris yet, but it could be coming down the line.
- Pat Burrell only wanted to go to the Yankees or Red Sox when the Phillies were offering him in the past. He's a free agent at the end of the season.
- The Dodgers have mild interest in Juan Castro.
- Peter Angelos might kill any Brian Roberts trade.
- The Red Sox would like to get Sean Gallagher and a prospect for Coco Crisp. They hope the Cubs are interested.
- Tommy Lasorda was pushing the Dodgers to sign Mike Piazza as a back up catcher.
- No interest anywhere for David Wells still.
- The A's are discussing Frank Thomas, while the Yankees aren't.
