- The Blue Jays have had scouts watching the Dodger's Single A Affiliate.
- There is still no interest in Barry Bonds.
- Arizona would like to bring back Tony Clark, but are not interested in Milton Bradley.
- The Cardinals have had scouts watching the Nationals.
- Detroit is not expected to make a splash at the deadline; they are looking at pitching right now.
- AJ Burnett has a 15-team no trade clause.
- Shawn Chacon would win his grievance and be paid his full salary.
- The Mets are interested in Juan Rivera.
- Arizona and St. Louis are inquiring about Jason Bay; the Pirates would want each teams top prospect in return.
- The Padres are looking to move veterans only; Tony Clark and Randy Wolf are the top targets.
- Greg Maddux has been told which teams are interested in him; he can decide if he will be traded.
- Maddux to the Braves is unlikely.
